two automation flows, one seamless experience

We built two core automation scenarios using Make to power the entire The Starters backend.

The first handles ranking calculations - it pulls data from Memberstack, Airtable, and Webflow, calculates points based on predefined criteria like bookings and reviews, then updates rankings in real-time across all connected platforms. Freelancers see their scores reflected instantly on their profiles. This eliminates manual calculations, ensures fair and consistent rankings, and saves hours of operational work each week while providing data-driven insights into freelancer performance.

The second scenario manages the complete Stripe Connect lifecycle. Incoming webhooks trigger the automation, creating new Stripe Connect Standard Accounts automatically and generating onboarding URLs for freelancers. Account data syncs across Memberstack, Webflow, Airtable, and the internal Data Store. Routers split the logic based on event type - whether it's a new account creation, status update, or verification change - and each branch updates the corresponding systems to keep everything aligned. This automates the entire Stripe onboarding process, ensures all platforms reflect the latest account status, and removes manual data entry while reducing sync errors.

Together, these flows created a fully automated backend that powers ranking transparency, payment processing, and data consistency across The Starters platform 🚀
